Keep Your Guard Up!

It’s that time of year again, when leaves and pine needles are flying all over the place. And that means it’s time to get those roofs inspected and the drains cleaned before winter sets in. Restricted or clogged roof drains can lead to flooded roofs and many potential problems.

OMG DrainGuard helps minimize this risk by providing a protective barrier around the drain. It’s a four inch high perforated aluminum wall that keeps the area clear of leaves and other debris while allowing water to flow to the drain. New! Height Adjustable Strut Model PipeGuard

OMG’s new Height Adjustable Strut Model PipeGuard is adjustable from 5- to 10-inches and designed for applications that require support for several small pipes at multiple heights on the same roof.

Diverse and flexible, the Height Adjustable Strut Model PipeGuard can be used for a wide range of small roof-top pipe applications including gas and refrigeration lines, electrical and solar conduit, as well as HVAC lines.  

As with other PipeGuard units, the Height Adjustable Strut Model is fast and easy to install and offers a wide base for maximum stability. Heavy duty EPDM rubber bases will not rot, deteriorate or damage roof covers and helps to dampen pipe motion due to vibration. Each unit is 10-inches long by four-inches tall and supports several pipes depending on their diameter. Each unit includes a 1 5/8-inch galvanized strut channel that accommodates standard pipe support clamps (sold separately), and supports up to 160 lbs.

OlyBond500 Single Temperature Formula

OlyBond500, the industry’s most popular insulation adhesive, is even easier to use! Now, Bag-in-Box sets of OlyBond500 are based on a single-temperature formula which makes it easier for applicators and distributors because they no longer have to choose between specific temperature grades of OlyBond500.

The single temperature OlyBond500 can be used in temperatures 40°F and above. It is applied with OMG’s exclusive PaceCart 2 dispenser which can dispense up to 60 squares per hour.

OlyBond on Display at the Denver Art Museum

The 146,000 square foot structure extends the length of a city block and, according to the museum’s web site, “is an explosion of angular forms clad in titanium.” Because of the design and its contents, the 55,000 square feet roof area posed many logistical and application problems that only an experienced roofing contractor could undertake.
